Get rid of that stupid timer for Steiner's ultimate weapon so we can emjoy the story. No one wants to rush through a FF game button mashing all the story to get a weapon; nor do they want to watch all the story without getting all the best gear.

This is going to be jank if when the trilogy is released as one game, they don’t adapt the upgrades to REMAKE & REBIRTH.

It needs 4 changes imo. The way stats increased in the OG is based on the equipment you have equipped when you level up. If you grind early game your gear is crap so your stat gains are crap since it's determined by the gear you're wearing. That's why some people end up super weak late game. Change the jump rope minigame. Change how you get the ultimate sword, im not a fan of having to rush through the game in a time limit to try and make it to the last disc or get locked out of it,I like to enjoy games and take my time. Change the active time events. Put like a little crystals at the top of the screen showing how many events are available in each area you're in. If you want to do them then you can see how many is there but it still lets it be optional if you don't want to do them. Also I enjoy new game + things. Maybe make Beatrix and Blank party members but in a new game + like the story changes minimally. First play through you have steiner second play through Beatrix and steiner kinda swap where Beatrix joins in the beginning instead of steiner. I love new game+ that makes slight changes on second playthroughs or alternative options on a second play.

Mine would be set up Necron narratively instead of a dump at the end. Maybe we hear his voice or spirit throughout the game or maybe he could be set up as being a Terran. Trance deffo needs some adjustment. Freya and Amarant need more story. Gives us the cut elemental dungeons as playable sequences with each two person parties instead of just the boss with Zidane and Quina. The card game needs to be adjusted alot. Maybe they could use some of that queens blood magic in someway. The frog minigame could so with some extra work as deffo could the jump rope minigame. Beatrix being playable would be cool if she became part of the party.

The same treatment ff7 is getting that's what I want . I don't want the same game with better graphics that I can go and buy now and play now whats the point

Looking forward to IXR is really different from looking forward to VIIR. I always thought of IX as an epic fairytale, whereas VII is an epic story. IX would probably be a remake project when a given staff would feel like they had more freedom than a story like VII where anything can trigger a serious reaction for the players. They won't be walking on egg shells with IX lol Necron did have a lot of mixed reactions. I liked it because when a being like that shows up, you can never trust even what it says about itself. It claimed to be born of Kuja's despair, but that can mean a lot of things. One interpretation I've had lately is that Necron was the Crystal's threatened state, and Kuja's assault on it prompted this reaction, forcing the party to remind it of what it means to live. In this sense, 'born' would mean 'brought out.' If the Crystal is the source of everything, then it could have a crazy or rabid side that is usually kept in check by itself. In other words, God is the Devil. But whatever Necron truly is, teasing its existence in IXR could be pretty cool. Zidane could appear on the darkened Hill of Despair alone earlier on in the story for a brief moment. Maybe when Dagger isn't talking and he's worrying about her.

The 1000 jumprope

Not much keep the PS4 remaster GOD mode cheat intact but change it so that you NEVER START EVERY fight in TRANCE mode once IT unlocks keep it turned based ie NOT like the FF7 remake at all and still have it playable on the PS4/Switch and NOT be PS5 only.

I'm pretty sure it's gonna be Return. It has the same meaning as Remake and Rebirth. Remake, Rebirth and Return of FFVII. And it's been alluded to ingame multiple times and the last track on Rebirth OST is "Aerith's Theme - Return to the Planet." Similar to how one of the last tracks on Remake OST was One Winged Angel - Rebirth.

The thing about the FF9 card game is that a lot of ppl compare it to FF8s and 8 had beautiful artwork for their cards and the size was ideal...then we went to 9 and the cards were so tiny and blurry... on the old TVs FF8s cards just looked better

I've thought about this before, here are some of my thoughts -More comprehensive battle system (many of the spells just flat out doesn’t work or miss 90% of the time), could be totally new battle system, even action system -No random encounters, similar implementation as in Chrono Cross -Trance system rework, control over triggering it and more interesting trance abilities -Freya’s story could be continued in disk 3, especially cutscenes with Beatrix and Amarant -Amarant’s story could be extended, even through more scenes with Lani -Voice acting -The Lore in Disk 3 is actually pretty convoluted and not that interesting, too much lore dumping especially by Garland -Secondary World Map in Terra, noy so big though but 5ish hours extra content -The relationships of people are one of the strengths in the game, expand the dynamics of Amarant and Lani - Freya and Fratley - Garnet and Brahne - Zidane and Kuja - Vivi and Steiner -Zidane’s story resembles too much Vivi’s arc and Goku’s arc, needs rework -Writing and script could be more polished -Zidane’s personal stakes could be improved -The love story could be improved a lot -Tetra master could be modified and clarified -Kuja and Brahne could be improved as villains and currently too one dimensional as a characters -Kuja doesn’t fit the game and he doesn’t seem like the manipulator they aimed for, he could manipulate Beatrix in some twisted way for example -Tweek Kuja’s and Eiko’s visual design -Way to make the story more profound? And the themes to hit harder -There is too much I Want To Be Your Canary in the Ending and Beginning -Least selling FF since SNES era due to visual style, adjust it -Too many cutscenes with exact same structure (Cleyra, Lindblum, Alexandria, Iifa), destination you know, Brahne/Kuja comes, new summon, destruction, bye - maybe could do more from the NPCs perspective (maybe which you know from ATE) -Minor Disk 3 story restructures -Like FF3 and FF4, every character is somehow resurrected to beat the “true” final boss that came out of nowhere, which is the epitome of death? Implement Necron better -Make Garland more significant and maybe he made a deal with Necron or smt -Zidane is supposedly angel of death, really never felt even close to being that way -Every other person didn’t even realize that Vivi stopped, or 50% of the players who saw the ending -Let Vivi discover his manufacturing number and how to make more Black Mages in additional scene in Dali -Explain the Crystal in the main logo better and the 2 planets, Nobody who finished the game can even explain those symbols -Rework rope minigame and others -Zidane won't look or sound anything like Dissidia

I think the updated version of Final Fantasy 9 lets you have to be able to control when to transform or go into trance mode. Dragon quest 8 and dragon quest 12 have a similar system in the games but it's more controllable.

Changes or additions, is to increase the focus on guest party members such as Marcus, Cinna, and Blank who are temporarily playable... also I think they should make Beatrix a permanent party member. Also in DQ VIII I still think they should add more characters to the party. I think Marek should have also been a permanent party member. Bangerz would have been cool to participate when going to search for Jessica and Ishamari would have been fun.

From a story perspective: Make Beatrix and Blank actual party members. And improve trance mode.

No forced trance mode. Using items in trance mode depletes the gauge, stop that. As for encounters they could have a no encounters armour as a steal or in a chest later in the game. Rework the rng in the card game, any card can lose to any card with shitty luck. The active time events could be accessed at a mog so they won’t be missable.

Make Beatrix a playable character that's would be awesome

Just quality of life improvements. The option for increased exp and gold. The only thing that drove me nuts about the combat was the speed. It needs to get sped up. Big time. New game plus would be cool.

The same exact game better graphics, 60 fps , that's it .....dont 💩 like they did ff7 ...don't have zidane going to multiverse to save Garnett only to find out he doesn't know what multiverse he's in 😅

I found the shift in Kuja’s character from trying to destroy the Crystal to saving the party from Necron to be quite sudden. Perhaps the remake could show more a growing relationship between Kuja and Zidane wherein they identify with each other as some sort of siblings, that could lead to a better buildup towards the final battle and ending.

Last time i played it i messed around and used the level 99 cheat to make my party go to level 99 at the beginning of the game just to see how hard they hit and they were still taking the same amount of damage the only thing was they had more hp, that is the last time i ever played it i needs to feel like your character actually get stronger every level

Upgraded graphics/environments. Fleshed out systems and characters. Keep it turn based. Save up trances like limit breaks.

I wouldn't mind seeing it receive the Final Fantasy VII Remake Trilogy treatment in terms of action combat, expanded world, expanded content, voice acting, expanded lore, and expanded story. It doesn't have to be three parts however the minimum should one to two parts. Newer additions could also include airship gameplay and combat especially since the world is at war between two major empires and more music in it. It also has to be on multiple platforms on day one like PS5, XBOX Series X, PC, and whatever Nintendo will call their next gen console.

One thing I just noticed about the Dyne death scene is that he essentially curses Barret to perpetually live in that guilt and trauma after their heart to heart and even after learning Marlene is alive. Kinda showing that he still hates Barret immensely on his deathbed compared to the OG. Just something of note that was cool to me

in some sence reborn makes sense think of it this way remake a child is made in during pregancy rebirth a child can only be born once reborn born is what happens after your birth so it kinda works not saying its what i would want

I believe it was Nomura who confirmed each title would start with 'Re' in one of the many interviews that came out post Remake. I'm of the mind part 3 will be call 'Relive' or 'Rejoin'.

I just finished the Dyne segment last night, my takeaway: 1: I agree his 3rd phase in battle was a little odd, but in a world where people can summon gods and harness the power of the planet etc. why would it be a far fetched idea that this man with nothing to lose would go to this extreme for what is now his life’s purpose. 2: The switch back to anger after finding out Marlene is alive, I took that scene to be more along the lines of Dyne knew this was his last moment, and that would mean reuniting with his lost family. Now that Barret reveals Marlene is alive, Dyne flips from acceptance back to anger because Barret has now “taken” Marlene from him again. Best emotional segment so far though 💯
